Carlos Reflects on Drawing and Architectural Practice
Earlier this month, Carlos Salinas Weber, one of our Senior Architectural Designers, gave a virtual talk for the National University of San Juan’s Architecture Department lecture series—his alma mater in Argentina.
His presentation centered on the enduring role of drawing as an essential tool in architectural practice. Carlos shared the story behind his very first “professional drawing,” tracing its journey from paper to built form. He then brought the talk full circle with his most recent drawing: a study of arches at our St. Anselm’s Apartments project, shown here in the lecture poster.
We’re proud to see Carlos reflecting on his process and inspiring the next generation of architects with the simple, powerful act of putting pencil to paper.
