Intermediate Architect
We are looking for a motivated, thoughtful, and detail-oriented candidate to join our dynamic team.
Founded in 1960, ESKW/Architects is a 40-person architectural firm based in New York City with a dedication to the non-profit and institutional sectors. Education, housing, and healthcare are the cornerstones of our practice, and fostering long-term relationships is a common thread throughout our history. We design community-focused projects that provide inclusive access to shelter, education, and culture for all.
Responsibilities
Contribute to projects of different scales including residential, education, healthcare, and/ or institutional projects, including new construction, and adaptive reuse projects.
Participate as a team member in the production of Construction Document for all project phases, including schematic design through construction administration.
Manage small or intermediate level project along with a senior project manager or Associate.
Participate in multiple projects simultaneously and manage responsibilities to multiple teams.
Qualifications
Experience with or interest in institutional, education, healthcare, multifamily, and affordable housing projects.
Bachelor or Master of Architecture Degree.
4-7 years of professional experience.
Experience with various phases of projects including feasibility, schematic design, and construction documents. Experience in Construction Administration is a plus
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite.

Compensation
$70,000 - $85,000 commensurate with experience and skills.

Project Architect

Responsibilities
Lead development of Documents for projects of different scales including residential, education, healthcare, and/ or institutional projects, including new construction, and adaptive reuse projects.
Coordinate and produce Construction Document for all project phases, including schematic design through construction administration.
Maintain strong communication with the Project manager, Partners, architectural team and consultants, managing relationships throughout the project.
During Construction, attend site visits and construction meetings, prepare minutes and manage response to RFI’s and submittals.
Qualifications
Experience with institutional, education, healthcare, multifamily, and affordable housing projects including knowledge of NYC Zoning and Building Code.
Bachelor or Master of Architecture Degree.
8+ years of professional experience.
Experience developing Construction Documents including details, managing a small team, and coordinating consultants.
Experience in Construction Administration
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite.
