Andrew Knox Serves on Bricks and Mortals Panel
Partner Andrew Knox recently served on a panel at the @bricksmortalsny 2025 Faith-Owned Property Summit, joining Acting HPD Commissioner Ahmed Tigani ( @ahmedtiganiwashere ) and other leaders in faith-based development to share insights from our firm’s work with organizations creating affordable housing.
Our collaborations, often facilitated by LISC NY, help congregations explore how their properties can serve both their missions and their communities through thoughtful, feasible development.
A recent example is Cortelyou Road, created with the Baptist Church of the Redeemer and MHANY Management, and funded in part by NYC HPD. The award-winning project provides a new 14,700 SF church sanctuary and community space alongside supportive and affordable housing for seniors, families, and formerly homeless individuals. To honor the church’s legacy, reclaimed elements from the original 1920s sanctuary, including its stained glass windows, were incorporated into the new design.
We’re proud to continue supporting organizations of faith as they envision and realize spaces that strengthen communities and preserve their histories.
