At the 4380 Bronx Boulevard Shelter, daylight and openness transform the living environments. Skylights extend the original 13’ ceilings to 30’, flooding the dormitories with daylight and fresh air. Sleeping areas are thoughtfully divided into smaller dorms, each designed to feel brighter, safer, and more welcoming. These sculptural dormers allow the adaptive reuse of the existing manufacturing building – the ultimate sustainable design!
